It was quite the spectacle if you were at the main cathedral edge of Cotacachi’s Parque Matriz this past Saturday morning. Literally kicking off the early Jora Festivities with the kicking up of heels, spectators were dazzled with a number of amazing traditional dances and music. Fabulous adornment, dancers with zeal, and shawls and ponchos swirling in a space of vibrant and abundant color and movement.
How i wish i had been there! I just love the pageantry of such events.
