Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy is a healing modality which approaches health as a fluid system of interdependent energy fields including the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of a human being.

Gentle touch on the body and within the auric field is applied to assess and adjust the flow of vital energy to restore balance, release blockages of various forms, and facilitate a positive attitude towards life.

Polarity therapy is deeply relaxing and continues to effect subtle changes hours after the session. It is an effective means to restore energy levels, address pain, stress, anxiety, and other conditions which disturb a normal state of health.

Polarity Therapy was developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, an Austrian who emigrated to the United States in 1903. Dr. Stone Studied both eastern and western medicine and was a doctor of Osteopathy, Chiropractic and Naturopathy.

Julie Powell studied polarity at the Linden Tree Healing Center in Poughkeepsie NY and graduated from the Listening Hands Polarity Therapy Training program in Durham, NC.  She has practiced polarity therapy as an associate polarity practitioner as recognized by the American Polarity Therapy Association since 1996.

Polarity Sessions are $22 per 45 minute session.

Reflexology

The feet are the terminal points for nerve endings and energy lines from all other parts of the body, thus manipulation of the feet is able to affect all parts and systems of the body.  Reflexology stimulates both relaxation and healing response within the body, and is effective treatment which compliments and enhances other healing modalities.  Your feet contains a type of map of which corresponds to the rest of your body. They are a safe and effective point of entry to bring about better circulation, release of toxins and an overall feeling of well being which can dramatically change one’s body chemistry and outlook on life.

Civilizations such as the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Japanese and Indian cultures are known to have employed reflexology for maintaining and restoring good health. Reflexology manipulation stimulates those areas which need stimulation, revitalizes all systems and also brings about a state of deep relaxation.

Julie Powell studied Reflexology in Pittsburgh PA with David Speers, and was taught reflexology principles and manipulations as part of her polarity therapy training.

Reflexology sessions are $22 per 45 minute session.
